What is cultural relativism?

What is cultural relativism? Why is cultural relativism so dangerous, and why is it becoming so popular?

Wait what are you seriously condemning cultural relativism based of something a Christian website says?

The Gospel message will kindle social reform to the extent that any society whose practices are out of step with God’s moral standard will change—idolatry, polygamy, and slavery, for example, will come to an end as the Word of God prevails (see Acts 19).

How about no.

I didn’t post the link as a condemnation, but as more information. The topic came up a while ago. Although I am not a fan of the over all site, I think this article is good.

If you have a link of the topic (that isn’t Tumblr) by all means submit!

That article is ok if you stop reading at the fourth paragraph.

Here’s a good article that shows the difference between cultural and ethical relativism: http://www.scu.edu/ethics/publications/iie/v11n1/relativism.html
